Position Overview

Role Title: Editorial Manager

Reporting Structure: Editorial and Workflow Supervisor

Compensation: Up to £47,000 annually

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Objective: Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the content produced meets the highest standards, the editorial workflow is seamless and efficient, and that the output is both engaging and precise.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Overseeing daily operations of our workflow systems, ensuring adherence to deadlines and processes
  2. Monitoring new procedures and budget management, implementing new systems as necessary
  3. Editing, revising, and approving content as needed
  4. Building relationships with regular contributors, commissioning and refining written material
  5. Engaging in feature writing and copywriting as required
  6. Participating in client meetings when necessary
  7. Supervising the Senior Sub-Editor/Writer
  8. Generating innovative editorial concepts as needed and supporting the Editorial and Workflow Supervisor

Success Indicators:

  1. Efficient workflow systems with deadlines consistently met
  2. High-quality, accurate content production
  3. Adherence to editorial budgets
  4. Client satisfaction with content delivery
