Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at the Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthesia services to our pediatric patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality anaesthesia services to pediatric patients across all main surgical specialties.
  • Participate in the pediatric on-call rota and provide emergency anaesthesia services as required.
  • Contribute to teaching, continuing medical education, and quality improvement activities within the department.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • 6 months advanced level experience of pediatric anaesthesia in a tertiary centre.
  • Training and experience in Pediatric Intensive Care and the transport of critically ill children.
  • Level 2 Child Protection Training.
  • 1 year fellowship in pediatric anaesthesia in a tertiary centre.
  • Experience in the provision of pediatric preoperative assessment and pain services.
  • Research / presentations / publications in pediatric anaesthesia.
