GI Group is seeking a Mechatronics Apprenticeship Skills Instructor to support a public sector initiative in Rotherham. This position is dedicated to delivering high-quality skills coaching and instructional support to enhance the learning experience for apprentices and their employers. The successful candidate will possess expertise in the subject matter, facilitating engaging educational sessions and guiding apprentices through their assessment journey.

  • Design and implement dynamic teaching sessions tailored to the essential knowledge and skills required.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure apprentices complete their End Point Assessment in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular evaluations with apprentices and their mentors to promote successful assessment outcomes.
  • Assist apprentices in gathering necessary documentation and evidence for their assessments through workplace interactions.
  • Identify and communicate any challenges that may hinder learner progress.
  • Establish clear, achievable objectives, offering guidance throughout the apprenticeship experience, and aiding in skills evaluations.
  • Educate employers on their roles and responsibilities in the apprenticeship training process.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in assessing Apprenticeship Standards.
  • Background in Engineering and relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in supporting learners with their assignments and assessments.
  • Possession of a relevant vocational qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Qualifications in assessment and internal verification.
  • Teaching certification.
