Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to lead their team in a prestigious law firm in SW London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private client law and excellent leadership skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage a diverse and comprehensive private client caseload, providing expert advice to clients on a range of matters.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities by heading a division within the Private Client Department, overseeing the work of junior team members and contributing to the growth and enhancement of the firm's reputation in private client services.
  • Supervise and mentor more junior members of the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with other professionals, including accountants, financial advisers, and care agencies, to provide well-rounded advice to clients.

**The Ideal Candidate:**

  • Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or STEP Member with substantial experience in Private Client law.
  • Ideally, 4-5 years of experience in managing a diverse caseload of private client matters.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support junior team members, with a strong track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a busy, high-volume caseload independently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and professional referrers.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience of using case management software and other legal technology.
  • Proven financial acumen and a commercial mindset, with a strong understanding of the financial aspects of private client law.
