Job Description

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for Psychology Graduates to join one of our client schools in a SEN Support Teaching Assistant role. This position will be full-time and will involve working closely with pupils who have additional SEN and SEMH support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to target their additional learning requirements.
  • Assist pupils with their Educational Healthcare Plans (ECHPs).
  • Monitor the progress of these pupils, providing feedback to teachers, parents, and the pupils themselves.
  • Manage the behaviour of the pupils and build relationships to effectively help them in their development.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Recent psychology graduate with a strong understanding of SEN and SEMH support.
  • Ability to work effectively with pupils who have additional learning requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
