Role Overview:
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be crucial in guiding financial strategies and fostering a collaborative environment that drives organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Excellence in Financial Reporting:

    Generate precise and timely monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and statutory accounts, offering detailed explanations for variances against the budget.

  • Strategic Financial Guidance:

    Provide financial support and advice to managers throughout the organization, promoting Finance as a strategic partner. Collaborate on initiatives to enhance profitability while aligning with corporate objectives.

  • Analytical Insight and Support:

    Work closely with Budget Holders and Development managers to monitor income, revenue costs, and capital expenditures against budgets and forecasts. Identify potential issues and opportunities, providing proactive assistance.

  • Communication with the Board:

    Develop clear and comprehensive commentary for monthly and quarterly management accounts for the Board, ensuring transparency and actionable insights.

  • Team Leadership:

    Foster a positive atmosphere and support the development of the management accounts team, encouraging collaboration and innovation.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    Enhance profitability by analyzing and challenging existing practices and processes, focusing on improving efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Financial Planning and Compliance:

    Contribute to strategic planning by providing financial insights, evaluating capital investment projects, and assessing new contracts as necessary. Ensure compliance with timelines for statutory accounts and external reporting requirements.


Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and strategic financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with effective communication skills for complex financial information.
  • Proven capability to collaborate across functions and provide financial guidance to stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and knowledgeable about statutory accounting standards.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and the pursuit of financial excellence.
