Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Nursery People. As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Lead and inspire a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents and carers, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety, are followed meticulously.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a nursery setting, with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • SENCO qualification preferred.
