A&D Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Heating Engineer to bolster our installation and service teams during a phase of substantial expansion.

As a key member of our team, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Installation of heat pump systems within mechanical rooms.
  • Expertise in HDPE pipework installation and proficiency in fusion welding.
  • Setting up all related pipework integral to the heat pump supply, including connections from manifold to buffer tank and the complete distribution network.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical schematic diagrams.
  • Daily oversight of the project team.
  • Ensuring on-site health and safety compliance in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintaining the quality and adherence to standards of the systems installed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • 1st and 2nd fix installations in residential properties and mechanical rooms.
  • Pipefitting for heating, cooling, and hot water distribution systems.
  • Conducting both reactive and proactive maintenance on heating systems.
  • Performing basic electrical tasks related to our heat pump systems.
  • Commissioning and servicing heat pump systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving any issues that may arise.

The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous attention to detail, a systematic approach, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Given the anticipated growth, the candidate should be eager to take initiative in managing tasks and developing new processes and systems to facilitate the company's advancement.

Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 Plumbing qualification (or equivalent).
  • Technical expertise and comprehension of hydraulic systems, including flow and pressure dynamics.
  • Familiarity with regulations and guidelines pertaining to hot water systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent, capable of reviewing own work for accuracy.
  • Experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors is preferred.

Compensation Package:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000, based on experience.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays.
  • Monthly contribution of £30 towards mobile phone expenses.
  • Full-time employment with a company vehicle provided.
  • Project-specific bonus scheme available.

This is a permanent position. The term 'Senior' indicates the level of responsibility, and the vacancy is open to candidates of all ages.
