Join Our Engineering Team: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to become a vital part of our engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on manufacturing excellence.

Role Overview: As a Plant Shift Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering essential technical support across various manufacturing areas. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining optimal operational efficiency.

Location: This role involves a shift pattern, working both days and nights.

Compensation: The position offers a competitive salary starting at £42,500 per annum, which can increase to £46,043 per annum based on demonstrated competencies. Additional benefits include a quarterly bonus and the opportunity for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the engineering team in performing both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring compliance with safe working practices.
  • Provide immediate technical support to diagnose and resolve faults, aiming to reduce plant downtime.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to propose and implement enhancements to process control systems.
  • Deliver high-quality maintenance work, addressing any issues promptly to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or possession of a recognized electrical maintenance qualification (such as NVQ).
  • Preferred experience in heavy engineering manufacturing and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial and domestic wiring, as well as equipment such as overhead cranes, slitters, cutters, and robots.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley) and HMI interfaces.
  • Experience with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems, including variable speed motor control and feedback devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and understanding of safety-related control systems.
