Job Title: History Teacher

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join our team at one of our client schools in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.

About the Role:

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to develop a deep understanding of historical events and themes. You will design and implement curriculum plans, create teaching resources, and assess student progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that meet national curriculum standards and promote student engagement and participation.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching resources, including lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia presentations.
  • Assess student understanding through various methods, including exams, essays, and projects.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their historical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Organize and supervise extra-curricular activities, such as history clubs and field trips.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting.
  • Original or certified copies of degree certificates relevant to teaching history subjects.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program.
  • Strong subject knowledge in history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
