**Job Summary**

Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Civil Structural Designer to join our team in the UK. This is an 11-month contract with a high likelihood of extension, supporting a major FEED/EPC Onshore Energy Sector project.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in civil and structural design for onshore energy sector projects.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including workshare execution, to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Develop and implement design strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate design risks.
  • Manage and maintain CAD design tools, including Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Develop and implement 3D visualization and modeling techniques to enhance design communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 15 years' experience as a Principal Civil/Structural Designer in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, or Civil Infrastructure industry.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex design projects.
  • High level of proficiency in CAD design tools, including Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with 3D visualization and modeling software, including SmartReview and Navisworks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
