We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planning Specialist to join our team at CSSC. As a key member of our Events Team, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of our sporting programme and working closely with the wider team to ensure consistency in delivery, safety, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Event Management: Lead on the organization and delivery of the sports event programme at a Regional and National level, ensuring that all insurance, legal, and health and safety obligations are met.
- Volunteer Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Regional Organisers for designated sports, provide support to volunteers, and help them understand the key elements of the events process.
- Programme and Project Involvement: Liaise with the Strategic Development Team to contribute to and help deliver the Sports Strategy, participate in National Events projects, and engage with all projects and programmes where the Events Team is needed.
- Minimum of 1-year relevant event management experience, either in the workplace or through a relevant qualification.
- Intermediate to advanced level of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in event management is not essential but may be advantageous.
- A working knowledge of CRM and digital Event Management Systems.
- Experience of working with volunteers.
