Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled marketing professional to join our corporate communications team as a Senior Communications and Marketing Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in communicating and marketing to key audiences locally, regionally, and nationally through the development and delivery of creative and engaging marketing campaigns that promote council services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that promote council services and events
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their marketing needs and develop targeted campaigns
  • Manage and maintain the council's social media presence and online content
  • Collaborate with external partners to promote Tamworth's arts and heritage through Tamworth Assembly Rooms and Tamworth Castle
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that showcases the council's work and achievements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a marketing/media qualification or extensive broad marketing experience, including digital and social media, traditional print advertising, and content creation. You will also need to be highly organized, adaptable, and proficient at managing multiple projects and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
