About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Harris Primary Academy Coleraine Park. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide individualized support to students with SEN in 1:1, group, or whole-class settings, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
  • Assist in developing and implementing tailored resources, schemes of work, and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Evaluate students' progress through regular assessment activities and provide detailed feedback to teachers on their achievement, progress, and needs.
  • Lead small group sessions and interventions as required, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, at all levels.
  • Managing and being responsible for own workload.
