Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Principal Communication Systems Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of cutting-edge communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop space architecture concepts, sub-system design, payload design, and risk reduction
  • Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and other quality factors to ensure mission success
  • Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering
  • ~9+ years of experience in space communications
  • Strong background in communication theory and RF concepts
  • Experience with FPGA, modern vector processing engines, and satellite-communications standards
  • Proficiency in Python and C++
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Ability to manage large projects and work well under pressure
