About the Role:
The Charity People are partnering with a hospice in Pontefract to find a talented Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the hospice achieve its ambitious funding goals by maximising grant and donation income from public bodies and charitable trusts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a trusts and major donor fundraising strategy to increase patient care
- Research and identify potential trusts and major donors to approach for funding
- Build and maintain relationships with trusts and major donors to secure funding
- Write and submit grant applications to trusts and foundations
- Manage and report on fundraising progress to the hospice team
Requirements:
- Proven experience in trusts and major donor fundraising
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the hospice sector and fundraising trends
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £30,221 to £34,261 FTE
- A 9-12 month maternity cover contract
- A comprehensive benefits package including 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, employee assistance programme, occupational health services, free car parking at the hospice, and discounted meals for staff

The hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on quality of life and symptom alleviation.
