Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Pipe Fitter to join our team at GENEWIZ. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the installation of refrigeration and chilled water pipework on Azenta Automated Storage Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, Armaflex, and pressure test refrigeration pipe work.
  • Install and leak test chilled water pipework from customers' chilled water system.
  • Install all hardware to carry and clip the pipework to a high specification.
Management and Communication

You will act as a representative of the company in all situations, conducting yourself professionally and leading by example. You will have a good awareness of relevant QA and Health & Safety issues.

  • Be proactive in the management of your time, juggling workload and priorities in conjunction with your line manager.
  • Hold a varied scope of tasks and normally deal with several tasks simultaneously.
  • Responsible for organizing your own day, which varies in specific tasks depending on client requirements.
  • Makes independent decisions on a daily basis, associated with prioritizing your own workload.
Requirements
  • Qualified to a minimum of BESA city and guilds qualification.
  • Minimum of five years installation knowledge.
  • Ability to read pipe isometrics and understand INTF drawings.
  • Good PC skills, report writing, and use of Spreadsheets.
  • Ability to show excellent Armaflexing skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure on a customer site, often in a foreign country.

  • Maintains a smart appearance in line with company policy.
  • Holds a valid driving license and passport to undertake duties on site throughout the UK and overseas.
