The Regulatory Systems Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that Apple Inc.'s wireless products meet all regulatory laws and standards worldwide. This involves driving and evaluating products from conception to first customer delivery, digging into the details of hardware and software features throughout the development cycle, and specifying design requirements to ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and interpret standards against product design requirements
- Produce and present concise project data analysis and status reporting information
- Plan and execute delivery of all testing samples and support equipment
- Maintain procedures and core regulatory reference material
- Ensure internal documentation and processes are maintained and up to date
- Maintain security in line with corporate security requirements
- Review 3rd party data and test reports
- Engineering Degree (Electrical/Electronic/Wireless Communications)
- Experience in RF Systems design and debug activities
- Experience directly with wireless product development
- Experience with root cause analysis and design change proposals
- Experience with EMC/LVD/RE-D Directive, ETSI/3GPP Standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal
- Good organisational skills, ability to work under own initiative and pressure
- Ability to prioritise tasks and adopt a flexible approach to working methods and time
- Detailed knowledge of at least two of the following areas: SAR, EMC, Radiated RF testing (Cellular/Wi-Fi/BT), Conducted RF testing (Cellular/Wi-Fi/BT)
- Good technical understanding of at least two of the following: Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GSM/WCDMA/LTE/5G, Wireless Power Transfer
- Chartered Engineer status
- Experience with CE/FCC/IC certification
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
