About the Role

Sutton Primary Care Networks is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our clinical team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
  • Conduct new patient health checks and annual health checks.
  • Perform BP monitoring, urinalysis, phlebotomy, spirometry, and other clinical tasks as required.
  • Provide lifestyle advice to patients and make necessary referrals within the Practice.
  • Process and manage laboratory samples requested by GPs and Nurses.
  • Ensure specimens are labelled and bagged ready for collection with the necessary paperwork completed.
  • Monitor and record vaccine and cold chain storage.
  • Restock and maintain clinical areas and consulting rooms.
  • Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and wellbeing.
  • Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.

Requirements

  • Experience working directly in a healthcare assistant role, adult health and social care, learning support or public health/health improvement.
  • Experience working within a GP Practice.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy accredited, Immunisation and Vaccination accredited, and Ear Syringing accredited (Training will be provided).
