Financial Accounting Manager

Join a dynamic and respected finance team as a Financial Accounting Manager, where you will play a key role in overseeing the company's financial operations. As a highly knowledgeable and energetic individual, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, tax compliance, and statutory accounting.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of statutory accounts and timely reporting
- Quarterly/annual corporation tax reporting and compliance
- VAT preparation, reporting, and compliance
- Customs duty compliance
- GDPR compliance
- Implementation and development of future-proof internal controls
- Manage a team of two direct reports
- Assist in all aspects of internal and external audits
As a Financial Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in multiple areas of the business, supporting other members of the finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, tax compliance, and statutory accounting.
Requirements:- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory accounting principles, indirect company taxation, UK and international finance reporting standards, and complex financial analysis
- Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or relevant vocational experience
- Excellent MS Excel skills and a strong aptitude for grasping modern accounting ERPs (the company currently utilises MS Dynamics AX)
- Strong technical accounting skills and personable and team-working qualities
