Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Lead Supply Chain Management Engineer to become a vital part of our team.

Role Summary
  • Assist in SCM bidding processes.
  • Oversee the acquisition of intricate "engineered" materials and/or services as directed by the Project SCM Manager, ensuring compliance with the Project Procurement Plan.
Key Responsibilities

Bidding Assistance
  • Collaborate with the SCM Tender Lead to facilitate the RFQ process, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary details for the designated package.
  • Suggest alternative vendors, specifications, and solutions that enhance cost efficiency.
  • Compile a list of potential tender suppliers in accordance with Client and S7 standards.
  • Evaluate and challenge Engineering requirements and spare parts philosophy.
  • Conduct commercial and contractual assessments, bid schedule evaluations, and provide recommendations based on "Total Cost of Ownership" while considering market trends.
  • Lead and coordinate the technical and commercial assessment of received bids with relevant stakeholders.
Project Coordination

Pre-Award Activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare the Request for Quotation package along with the supplier list.
  • Perform commercial and contractual evaluations, incorporating technical assessments from Engineering, QA, QC & HSE.
  • Consolidate bid summaries and present recommendations to the Project SCM Manager and Project Manager for viable solutions.
  • Engage in commercial negotiations to secure optimal agreements for the organization.
Award Management
  • Draft Supplier recommendations and the contractual deviation matrix.
  • Keep the Project Procurement Plan current.
  • Initiate and expedite the PR & PO process in the relevant systems.
  • Update the transportation plan as necessary.
Post-Award Oversight
  • Act as the primary contact for the Supplier and assume responsibility for the Purchase Order until delivery to the project team.
  • Coordinate all supporting functions with Engineering and QHSE.
  • Facilitate Kick-off Meetings with Vendors, ensuring clarity on documentation and administration of the Award.
  • Utilize SCM tools for progress tracking and reporting.
  • Critically assess Supplier Documentation Lists to ensure relevance.
  • Ensure timely review and approval of Supplier documentation.
  • Organize Pre-Production Meetings.
  • Update the SCM Procurement plan with progress and delivery timelines.
  • Address all QC issues raised, ensuring proper handling of alarms and NCRs.
  • Provide regular updates on progress and opportunities as required by the project.
  • Manage financial and commercial matters arising from assigned contracts or Purchase Orders, negotiating all Variation/change Orders and offering regular cost forecasts.
  • Review Supplier invoices and finalize accounts, obtaining necessary close-out certificates and issuing as-built revisions of the Award.
Departmental Support
  • Identify discrepancies in SCM processes, assess associated risks, and propose mitigating actions.
  • Ensure feedback and evaluations of supplier performance upon project completion, including Supplier performance assessments and Lessons Learned reports.
