Job Title: Junior Materials Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Materials Specialist to join our team at Red Bull Powertrains. As a key member of our Material and Battery Engineering Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our championship-winning Power Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the ERS and ESS areas of the Powertrain, working closely with other departments to deliver a high-performance Power Unit.
  • Collaborate with the Design, Quality, Purchasing, and Performance teams to ensure the successful integration of materials and components.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative materials solutions that enhance the Power Unit's performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of materials and components.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports, including the analysis of material properties and the development of control specifications.
Requirements:
  • A Materials Science or Materials Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of F1 hybrid power unit materials and experience in high-performance R&D projects.
  • Excellent understanding of material failure mechanisms and the ability to develop effective solutions.
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
