We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team at CHS Group, a leading M&E Contractor in London. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating team with Mechanical bids and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the estimating team with Mechanical bids and tenders, utilizing Enterprise Estimating Software to prepare and submit prime cost estimates.
  2. Liaise with internal and external engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  3. Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates, identifying and providing alternative design proposals, solutions, and value engineering options.
  4. Establish and maintain tendering processes, conduct negotiations, and prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  5. Support and encourage junior team members, monitor targets, and work flow, controlling and organizing tender documentation.
  6. Track and report on analytics using varied reporting tools, taking ownership of your workload and making decisions with initiative.
Requirements:
  1. Experience working for a Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor.
  2. Proficient in using estimating software packages such as Trimble.
  3. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
