Qualifications and ExperiencePossession of an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant Type Ratings is essential. Candidates should have substantial certification experience within an EASA Part 145 organization.
Role OverviewThe B2 Licensed Engineer is tasked with ensuring adherence to maintenance, inspection, and regulatory standards as dictated by EASA and overseen by the Quality and Airworthiness Manager.
Primary ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
- Serve as an inspector for specific aircraft, supporting line or base maintenance in compliance with MOE Part 146.
- Assume the role of Maintenance Team Leader when directed by a Service Team Manager.
- Manage manpower resources, including licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters, for assigned aircraft maintenance tasks.
- Certify tasks that have been authorized and trained on, ensuring compliance at both main base and other locations globally.
- Ensure that all maintenance commitments are met within designated timelines, promptly informing management of any delays.
- Complete all aircraft maintenance documentation related to personal or supervised work before the end of each shift.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Understand and communicate the strategic goals of the department regarding Product Support.
- Notify management of any challenges encountered while performing departmental duties.
- Maintain awareness of departmental metrics for monitoring goals, product delivery, and quality assurance.
- Uphold personal and departmental standards to ensure ongoing success.
- Facilitate effective handovers to maintain workflow continuity.
- Participate in 'Stand-up Board' meetings to discuss performance and operational updates.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
- Ensure that the quality of workmanship meets EASA and UK CAA standards, adhering to all statutory and company regulations.
- Extensive experience in both line and base maintenance.
- Demonstrated aircraft inspection and certification experience from previous roles.
- Experience in the corporate aviation sector is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Aviation Legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Adaptable to varying work patterns.
- Organized approach to daily tasks.
