As a key member of our Audit team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients. Our team provides audit assurance services that are essential to our clients' business controls, shareholder confidence, and credibility of their financial statements.
We are committed to providing an exceptional audit experience, and we are looking for a skilled and experienced Audit Senior Manager to join our team. As a leader in our industry, we have a unique integrated structure that allows you to work collaboratively with other teams and take on significant responsibilities.
Our specialist Industry & Services team provides audit services to companies listed on the London Stock Exchange (FTSE 350, Small Cap, and Fledgling), AIM, and large companies/groups with turnover of more than £150m. We work closely with overseas teams to audit UK-based subsidiaries of major global groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Management team in developing and building the audit team and client offering.
- Work closely with clients to provide an exceptional audit service.
- Lead an audit team, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Manage audit assignments from planning through to finalization of reports in line with agreed timescales.
- Control time spent and monitor actual time within budget.
- People management – coaching, feedback, performance management, training, and development.
- Draft the audit opinion summary for the Partner and other reporting documents.
- Ensure clients are billed according to agreed billing plans.
- Build strong working relationships with clients.
- Ensure audit services provided are genuinely appropriate for the client.
Requirements:
- ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
- Significant experience of leading external audits, managing a portfolio of clients, and leading audit teams.
- Prior experience of working at an experienced Audit manager level.
- Relevant industry and services sector audit experience.
- Experience of managing, training, and coaching an audit team.
- Experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages.
- Experience of identifying issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen.
