Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paramedic to join our Primary Care Careers team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paramedicine and will be able to demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement care plans, provide holistic and clinical services, and support the delivery of policy and procedures.

You will be responsible for triaging, taking comprehensive histories, examining, diagnosing, and treating/refer patients with a range of minor injuries/illnesses/infections. You will work in various settings, including patients' homes, nursing homes, care homes, telephone consultations, outreach events, or designated clinics within our GP practices.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a degree/diploma in paramedicine or equivalent experience, with 5 years of post-registration experience, including 2 years of consolidation of learning as a newly qualified paramedic and 3 years of experience as a band 6 (or equivalent) paramedic. You will also have Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration and be able to operate at an advanced level of clinical practice.

You will have experience in managing a designated caseload, working knowledge of Microsoft and GP practice and prescribing data monitoring systems, and ability to write comprehensive clinical notes and implement and evaluate care plans. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and persuade others and constructively question information.
