Head Resourcing is excited to partner with a leading organization in the technology sector as they seek to appoint an Information Security Operations Leader. This role is pivotal in enhancing the security posture of the organization by overseeing the operational aspects of their cyber security initiatives.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness of the cyber security team in recognizing, analyzing, and addressing all security incidents that arise from their information systems. Collaboration with internal departments and external managed service providers will be essential to ensure thorough investigation and resolution of all security events in accordance with established cyber security policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the performance management of security partners to ensure optimal service delivery across detection, response, and recovery operations.
- Formulate and implement cyber incident response strategies, playbooks, and procedures that empower the security operations team to act swiftly and efficiently during incidents.
- Enhance security operations capabilities and leverage collaborative engagements to refine and validate detection mechanisms.
- Work in tandem with IT departments to address vulnerabilities identified through security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability evaluations.
- Coordinate large-scale security incident response and recovery efforts, ensuring effective collaboration among multiple teams.
- Deliver comprehensive daily and weekly security performance reports.
- Oversee email security monitoring processes.
Required Skills:
- A strong grasp of:
- The methodologies employed by cyber adversaries, including both criminal and state-sponsored groups.
- Strategies for preventing and detecting prevalent attack techniques, along with familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Configuration and optimization of cyber security tools, such as SIEM and EDR solutions.
- The functioning of enterprise IT networks, including Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Management of key security partnerships.
