Ecologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecologist to join our team at Allen & York, a leading ecological consultancy based in Hampshire. As an Ecologist, you will play a key role in managing projects, preparing reports, and undertaking surveys to ensure the successful delivery of our clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Conduct ecological surveys and assessments to inform project decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on complex projects, providing expert ecological advice.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject, such as ecology, biology, or environmental science.
  • Have membership to CIEEM (Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management).
  • Hold at least one Natural England protected species class licence or be progressing towards this.
  • Have experience of working in an ecological consultancy, with a strong understanding of ecological project management and survey techniques.
  • Be an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
