Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present accurate management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Work closely with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor and manage the business's financial performance, ensuring it aligns with the company's goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including month-end processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insight to senior management to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within an SME.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional departments.
