Job Description

Philema Hospitality Management Enterprise is seeking a Night Porter to join our team at our 5-star, 16th century manor house. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of hospitality and service to our guests during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Provide a warm welcome to all guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and care throughout their stay.
  • Complaint Resolution: Minimize and handle complaints professionally, in accordance with hotel policy.
  • Hotel Policies: Follow all hotel policies as outlined in your training manual.
  • Front Desk Operations: Answer telephones, check-in and check-out of hotel guests, and deal with guest queries.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean public areas, set up or clear down from events and conferences, and ensure the safety and security of the building and guests throughout the night.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and drink to the highest standard to our guests when required.
  • Support Functions: Support the Food and Beverage department in aspects of their roles, and support the Reception by preparing aspects of departure during the night.
  • Financial Transactions: Maintain exemplary billing systems, obtain all payments from customers in accordance with company policy, and accurately account for and process all reception sales.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop good working relationships with all other departments, communicate information throughout the hotel, and understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control, and Emergency Aid.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
