The JAQ Group is a leading e-commerce group in the UK, with a strong focus on growth and expansion. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team based in Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and maintain all financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger.
- Implement financial controls to ensure group compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Implement and monitor stock control processes, working with site leaders to provide granular real-time analysis of stock.
- Prepare and contribute to the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations, including UK and EU VAT, TSS regulations, and corporation tax filings.
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Continuously review and improve financial processes and controls, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Lead and develop a small operational finance team, providing mentorship and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with a strong technical accounting background.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrates experience in streamlining financial processes and implementing best practices.
- Proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and analysis, with experience in using financial software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial management.
- Proactively takes ownership and can prioritise effectively, whilst being flexible to changing demands within a fast-paced business environment.
- A competitive annual salary of £65k - £70k per annum.
