About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Receptionist and Administrator at The Muswell Hill Practice. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and ensuring the smooth running of our reception area.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations
- Manage patient appointments, bookings, and cancellations
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information on practice services
- Process payments for non-NHS services
- Administrative Support
- Manage patient records and medical correspondence
- Scanning and filing documents
- Assist with data entry and coding
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Practice Manager and Lead Receptionist to ensure seamless operations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors
- Respond to patient complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Health and Safety
- Adhere to practice health and safety policies and procedures
- Report any potential risks or hazards to the Practice Manager
- Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
- Comply with practice policies and procedures for data protection
Requirements
- Education
- GCSE or equivalent
- Experience
- Customer service experience (1 year minimum)
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management systems
Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a rota system of morning and evening shifts
Salary
£11.95 per hour, rising to £12.35 per hour following successful completion of probation
Holiday Entitlement
4 working weeks per year, rising to 5 weeks after 5 years
