About the Role

The post is located within Middleton Fells, a residential home within South Cumbria, and will involve travelling to other residential homes within the region. You will be joining a well-established clinical team to facilitate multidisciplinary working, consisting of Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and an Assistant Psychologist. The clinical work will closely collaborate with the wider care team, enabling positive and effective multi-disciplinary working across the staff teams, to maximize clinical outcomes for the adults we support.

You will be working within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures, and within existing multidisciplinary and Clinical Governance structures, to support the services in future development and ensuring quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate multidisciplinary working with Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Assistant Psychologists
  • Collaborate with the wider care team to maximize clinical outcomes for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure quality assurance
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and provide training and development opportunities
  • Collect and analyze data to inform service delivery, development, and project work

Requirements

  • Post-graduate doctoral level qualification in Psychology (clinical, counselling, forensic)
  • Registered with the HCPC and BPS
  • Experience in supervising Assistant Psychologists
  • Experience of working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
  • Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults and children
  • Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car
