Job Overview

Reed Technology is seeking a skilled Audio Visual Installation Specialist to join our team. As an AV Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining technical systems and software for our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Professional with a keen interest in AV technology and a background in installation and maintenance of technical systems.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong approach and relevant installation/technical support experience. While prior AV experience is preferred, we will offer specific training on the products, software, and systems we use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys and electrical installations, including cabling and infrastructure for AV systems.
  • Install and integrate devices for Audio and Video Conferencing systems, ensuring all work meets codes and standards.
  • Perform inspections of AV systems under construction and provide technical support to the team.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout all AV work.
  • Responsible for the rack and stack of various equipment racks, dressing, terminating, labeling, and testing cabling.
  • Interpret construction drawings, cable pull schedules, and AV System Schematics to accurately install and connect devices.
  • Assist with commissioning and testing of newly installed systems, verifying cabling, checking power/signal flow, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Handle situation reports, maintain site inventory, assist with deliveries and clean-up, and perform asset tagging and other ad hoc duties.
Requirements
  • Experience in commercial or industrial electrical or AV projects is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with installations and AV systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) would be desirable.
  • Valid Driving License and willingness to travel and be on-call as needed.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and a good team player with effective communication skills.
