About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Loungers. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality food production.
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
  • Develop and implement kitchen procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve business objectives and targets.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene practices, and health and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
