Role Overview:
As an Insurance Underwriting Analyst at Bell & Clements, you will be part of the Managed Underwriting department, reporting directly to the Senior Underwriting Management Analyst. Your role will involve conducting analyses that enhance all underwriting functions within the company and support informed underwriting decisions. This position includes evaluating contract performance, assisting in the development of underwriting strategies, and participating in a hybrid working model.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct analyses for Managed Underwriting, focusing on both the overall portfolio and specific proposals.
- Actively contribute to the formulation of underwriting strategies.
- Provide statistical insights to support contract renewals and annual underwriting strategies.
- Collaborate with IT, various units of MRSI, and external partners on data and analysis initiatives as needed.
- Engage with clients to optimize the performance of their contracts.
Your Experience:
Essential:
- Prior professional experience in an analytical capacity.
- Familiarity with insurance statistics.
- Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to innovate.
- Proficient in Excel.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of SQL for database querying.
- Experience with Tableau is advantageous.
- Background in an underwriting support role.
- Exposure to the US property insurance sector.
