Job Summary

This role requires a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a PKI Engineer/Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This role would also suit a Cyber/Security professional who has a thorough understanding of encryption, certificates, proxy servers, and certificate lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities
  • PKI Solution Management: Operate and support the PKI solutions and environments.
  • Certificate Analysis: Analyze the current use of certificates.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist onboarding new teams into the PKI service.
  • Cyber Vulnerability Assessment: Work with Cyber vulnerability assessment teams to prioritize onboarding to automated certificate management.
  • Certificate Management: Work with App Service managed certificates, private and public certificates, and certificates from the AWS Key Vault.
  • Key Management Systems: Help to manage Key Management Systems (KMS) to ensure robust cryptographic key security.
  • PKI Deployment and Automation: Support and manage the PKI and Certificate deployment and automation, including Thales HSMs.
  • Certificate Lifecycle Management: Perform certificate lifecycle and checks, including issuing and revoking certificates.
  • Operational Support: Support operational issues.
  • Cybersecurity Education: Educate our business on cybersecurity best practice, including certificate lifecycle management.
Requirements
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Good knowledge and understanding of Information and/or Cyber Security.
  • Cybersecurity Principles: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices and an understanding of security frameworks, e.g. NIST, ISO27001.
  • PKI Experience: Experience of PKI systems and services, ACME protocol, use of RESTful APIs.
  • Certificate Authority Administration: Experience with Certificate Authority Administration.
  • ADCS Monitoring: Experience with ADCS monitoring and related tasks.
  • PKI Machine Identity Technologies: Understanding in PKI machine identity technologies, such as SSH, SSL, TLS.
  • Key Management Systems: Experience supporting Key Management Systems (KMS) for cryptographic key security.
  • PKI and Certificate Deployment: Experience with PKI and Certificate deployment and automation, Thales HSMs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solver with the ability to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously.
