We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient departments, and develop your skills in assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to promote independence and well-being.
- Provide a range of interventions, including physical, cognitive, and perceptual therapies, to address patients' needs and goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective discharge planning.
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Registered Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in acute care settings, with a focus on clinical development and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
