About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Margery Girling House, a residential care facility in Suffolk. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with medication administration and monitoring
  • Support residents with daily living activities, such as eating, drinking, and mobility
  • Engage residents in social, physical, and mental stimulation activities, such as hobbies and recreation
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of empathy and respect
Requirements
  • Care Certificate or equivalent
  • QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Full driving license (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team

Eligibility Criteria
  • Must not have worked in the care industry for the previous 2 years
  • Must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week
  • Must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell Housing Association
