About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as shopping, social events, and outdoor activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Requirements
  • Passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care principles and practices.
