About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our Project & Programme Services team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality expertise that positively impacts society, the economy, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to experienced colleagues within the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including tender documents and contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices.
  • Apply the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with AtkinsRéalis' policies.
  • Develop and adapt communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, including cost estimates and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • At least five GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grades A - C and a commitment to undertaking a Higher National Diploma followed by a degree course or sufficient qualifications to gain immediate entry onto a degree course.
  • A clean driving licence.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction forms and techniques.
  • Sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to write coherent and grammatical English.
  • Clear understanding of the importance of accuracy and demonstrate this in all work.
