Position Title:
*Assistant Head of Nursery*
This position is ideal for individuals with a background as a Deputy Nursery Manager or a Senior Nursery Practitioner who possess leadership capabilities.
*Essential Qualifications:*
*Full and Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education*

  • At least 1 year of experience in Team Leadership or Management
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a Nursery setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidelines.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Commitment to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, and SEN/Inclusion
  • Experience as a key worker for a designated group of children and their families
  • Skills in observing, assessing, and reporting on children's behavior

  • To meet legal and statutory obligations while overseeing staff on a daily basis.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of Nursery policies.
  • To manage nursery operations, ensuring collaboration among children, parents, and staff for high-quality childcare.
  • To oversee daily financial operations, achieving financial targets and maximizing occupancy.
  • To establish and monitor nursery objectives and assess progress against set targets.
  • To evaluate and enhance the quality of service, ensuring adherence to policies, best practices, and standards.
  • Create a nurturing and secure environment for children to thrive.
  • Work closely with parents and staff to cater to children's individual needs.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all children.
