Job Summary:

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in a contract role with one of our reputable Aerospace clients. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for repairing and overhauling products to engineering drawings and instructions, as well as performing mechanical fitting and testing of Life Support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and overhaul of products to engineering drawings and instructions
  • Mechanical fitting and testing of Life Support equipment
  • Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) to ensure quality of assemblies meet Honeywell and customer standards
  • Achieve on-time delivery by ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard
  • Interpret engineering drawings, follow process layout and documentation procedures
  • Work effectively in a lean environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly/Fitting/Testing/Machining
  • High standard of Health and Safety
  • Adherence to Company Processes and Procedures
  • Working in a customer-focused environment and achieving targets
  • Working with Designers and Engineers

Attributes and Skills:

  • Understanding of Aerospace practice and the significance of safety-critical work
  • PC literate
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Essential skills in Health and Safety, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative
  • Continuous Improvement

Requirements:

  • Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, and Drugs Screening

Working Hours:

7am - 3:30pm
