Position Overview:
As a Learning Support Staff member, your role will be to deliver vital support to students requiring additional assistance in their educational pursuits. Collaborating closely with teachers and other educational staff, you will contribute to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, enabling students to navigate challenges and excel both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individualized and small group support to students, concentrating on their unique learning requirements.
  • Assist in the execution of tailored learning plans and strategies aimed at promoting students' academic advancement.
  • Collaborate with educators to modify lessons and classroom activities to accommodate the needs of all learners.
  • Encourage a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring every student feels valued and included.
  • Provide assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties, or other obstacles to learning.
  • Track student progress, delivering feedback to educators and aiding in the adjustment of support strategies as necessary.
  • Help with classroom management, resource preparation, and other tasks as assigned by the teacher.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Learning Support role or a similar educational environment is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Dedication to supporting students in achieving academic and personal success.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role becoming available later.
