Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Oncology team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate nurse to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing expert care to patients undergoing Systematic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working autonomously in the assessment and management of patients undergoing SACT at our Cancer Centres.
  • Leading and providing specialist ANP knowledge to the nursing teams at both Cancer Centres.
  • Developing, contributing, and leading upon educational programmes working closely with the Oncology Nurse Consultant, Matron, and Head of Nursing for Oncology.
  • Undertaking audits and research to inform best practice, enhance patient outcomes, and drive forward improvements in patient care delivery.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A First-level registered Nurse qualification.
  • Relevant SACT experience, including management of clinics.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in nursing, health, or management-related studies.
  • A Master's level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Independent prescriber status or working towards it.
  • Advanced Assessment Qualifications.
  • Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT)/Oncology Qualification.
