Belcan Technical Recruiting (UK) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team in London. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of SCADA systems for a flagship programme in the energy and utilities sector.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement control systems integration and software development for PLC/HMI/SCADA systems from concept to commissioning.
- Conduct site surveys and perform reverse engineering to support SCADA/HMI replacement and conversion projects.
- Develop specifications, including User Requirements, Functional Design, Software Design, and Testing procedures.
- Set up and programme Rockwell PLC systems, Wonderware, and/or Ignition SCADA packages.
- Design and implement test setups to support testing, and participate in FAT, Commissioning, and SAT Tests.
- Relevant qualification in controls, mechatronics, electrical/electronic, or software engineering.
- Competence in programming PLCs, preferably with Rockwell platform and Ignition/Wonderware SCADA packages.
- Ability to take ownership of reverse engineering projects with attention to detail.
- Excellent client interface skills, particularly during FAT/SAT.
- Desire to learn and expand skills in areas such as Linux, VMware, Docker Container, Firewall Configuration, Python, and Cyber Security in OT environments.
