Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Leidos Security Detection & Automation U.K. Ltd. (SDS UK). As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process incoming goods, including checking quantities and verifying against delivery notes.
  • Accurately record and update inventory levels, using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track stock movements.
  • Issue stock to manufacturing and general stores, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Conduct cycle counting and stock reports to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Load and unload vans and lorries, ensuring safe and efficient loading/unloading procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Valid driving license and ability to operate MHE equipment.
