We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Culinary Support Assistant to become a vital part of our Catering and Kitchen operations at The London Clinic.

Founded in 1932, The London Clinic stands as one of the UK's premier private healthcare institutions, boasting 8 advanced facilities and a dedicated workforce of approximately 1350 individuals. Our main hospital is a multi-story establishment with over 150 patient beds and 10 operating theatres, including specialized areas for various surgical disciplines.

Position Overview
As a Culinary Support Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Kitchen Porter Supervisor and Back of House Manager to facilitate daily kitchen activities, ensuring the seamless operation of our culinary services while maintaining exemplary hygiene standards in compliance with relevant regulations. Adherence to best practices, standard operating procedures, and the company's Food Safety policies is essential.

  • Employment Type: This is a full-time, permanent role requiring 40 hours of work each week.
  • Work Schedule: We implement a flexible shift pattern, including early and late shifts, covering service hours throughout the week.
  • Location: The position is based in a central London location, easily accessible via public transport.
  • Compensation: The competitive salary for this role is set at £24,856 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely receipt and relocation of deliveries to designated areas to ensure safety.
  • Daily management of stock rotation.
  • Adherence to cleaning schedules to maintain cleanliness in all relevant areas.
  • Compliance with COSHH principles and training at all times.
  • Assistance in organizing daily workloads with supervisory support.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Possession of Level 1 Food Hygiene certification or higher.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the team.
