About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join our team at GSL Education. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and creating an inclusive learning environment.

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will work closely with students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals, ensuring they receive the guidance and support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Plan and deliver small group interventions to help bridge the gap in learning for those pupils who are working below age-related expectations.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to create effective support plans.
  • Encourage a positive learning atmosphere and foster students' academic and personal growth.
  • Offer constructive feedback to students and staff to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assist students in navigating their curriculum and managing their tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with students and staff.
