About the Fellowship

The Wrightington Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as a Fellow in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of patients undergoing hip and knee arthroplasty procedures
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols for hip and knee arthroplasty
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff and students
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives related to hip and knee arthroplasty
  • Collaborate with other departments and specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Completion of Higher Specialist Training in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Experience in lower limb arthroplasty surgery
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
